I have a 2005 55 plate 1.9 cdti vectra and the alternator needs replacing. How much roughly should I be expecting to pay for it to be replaced. Will it be massively expensive? Will I be looking at using buses for a while and walking. Am on maternity leave and this is the last thing i need. I dont think it was a recalled model so thats just poo.|||around 拢120 for the alternator

Independent garage exchange unit not a vauxhall supplied one - 拢200 to 拢250.
DIY about 拢180 plus swearing for a none Vx exchange unit or 拢30 from a scrap yard.|||about an hours work plus price of part,
