My vauxhall engine management light and traction control light are on, the car is gutless?

My 2001 vauxhall astra engine management light are on and so is the traction control light, the car is gutless and when i accelorate the engine managment light flashes. The car sounds like its is not running properley but only started when the two lights came on. Any one got any ideas what this could be.|||Sounds like the crank angle sensor is clapped out, they do this because of the heat.

But first try disconnect your battery for a few minutes, then reconnect it. Turn the key on so the dash lights come on and leave it for 1 minute. Turn key off then back on and start the car, this will reset the computer. Hopefully that should fix it.|||vehicle needs a diagnostic test to sort out the fault|||Your car is in limp mode. You'll need to bring it into a shop. Unless you have a scanner yourself to find the problem.|||Once you have a engine light to come on it switches the computer into limp mold, causing the engine to run like sh** unto you replace the bad sensor that cause the engine light to come on in the first place.
